  I had pre-arranged test drives in two Genesis cars on 8th October. Jack accompanied the test drives and provided useful information about the cars both during and after the drive sessions. Everything was handled very professionally and efficiently.

  Absolutely loving my GV70! I’ll be honest, I used to be a total EV sceptic. Range anxiety was my biggest concern. In my previous working life, I regularly drove long distances and only stopped when absolutely necessary. That chapter is behind me now, so range is far less of an issue. I’d owned a Range Rover Velar for almost four years and loved it, but with the PCP coming to an end, I wasn’t convinced about committing to another one, especially as JLR hasn’t changed the model significantly. The Genesis GV70 had already caught my eye, so I contacted the Edinburgh Studio. Initially, they offered a two-hour accompanied test drive, which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to decide whether an EV fits your lifestyle. After some discussion, they kindly agreed to a 24-hour test drive, and my wife and I planned a night away to really put the car through its paces. Jack from the studio offered to deliver the car to our home, but it worked better for us to collect it from the studio. He also arranged complimentary parking in the St James Quarter car park for the duration of the test drive, which was a great touch. When we arrived, everyone at the studio was welcoming and helpful. Jack took us down to the car and gave us a comprehensive overview of the features we were likely to need on our trip. As complete EV newcomers, we also appreciated him taking the time to explain the charging process. The test vehicle was immaculately presented and had clearly been prepared to a very high standard by the studio valet team. After leaving Edinburgh, we headed to Alnwick via the A68 and A697. Within minutes, I was blown away. The GV70 is refined, incredibly smooth, seriously quick, and the cabin quality is exceptional. By the time we arrived in Alnwick, the decision had been made: this was going to be our next car. The Edinburgh Studio doesn’t sell cars directly and instead refers customers to a retailer. I had already been speaking with Arnold Clark Glasgow and Brindley Cannock. As both had access to the same stock, it came down to the deal, and Ellis Nicholls at Brindley absolutely delivered. If you’re considering a Genesis, I’d strongly recommend speaking with Ellis and the team at Brindley Cannock. We particularly loved the Capri Blue colour, which is no longer available on the MY27, but we managed to secure a new MY25 in Capri Blue complete with the five-year service package. Four weeks after collecting the car, I’m still loving it. I’ve only covered around 700 miles so far due to travel commitments, but our home charger is now installed and I’m enjoying off-peak charging at just 8p/kWh. If you’re on the fence about Genesis, my advice is simple: go for it. From the experience at the Edinburgh Studio to the car itself, everything has exceeded expectations. You won’t be disappointed.

  Very positive experience from being greeted at the door of the Edinburgh showroom to our test drive. Jinno is professional and knowledgeable. He brought the GV60 to our work to test drive and made us feel relaxed, telling us everything we needed to know without feeling that we were being given a hard sell. The car is fantastic and Jinno made our first experience of Genesis a positive pleasure. As a relative newcomer to the market Genesis is definitely worth a look.
