  High-pressure sales nonsense with the insurance, trying to tell us they need proof we can cover the cost of the vehicle if we don't take the full insurance. What, you want a pay stub? Want to see a bank statement? Absolute garbage.

  Second time I've rented a car from Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Edinburgh Waverley Station. The experience was seamless. Since had checked in online, hence the process was quick and efficient and I had the car in 10 mins of reaching their office, on a Friday morning. The staff (Tom) was warm, friendly and attentive. He explained all the details real well; and also explained details around my all inclusive coverage and roadside support. In fact this time around the process was much better; and they were well staffed to ensure customers did not have to wait too long. I booked an intermediate SUV and was assigned a Peugeot 3008. Enjoyed driving this car across the Scottish Highlands. Will surely recommend Enterprise Edinburgh Waverely Station.

  Very disappointing experience. The whole process was extremely slow and wasted a lot of my time. Returning the car was unnecessarily difficult, and I was kept waiting far longer than expected. Because of the delays, I almost missed my train. I also felt they tried to charge me extra without a clear reason. Overall, the service was stressful and inefficient. I would not recommend this location.

  Friendly staff. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ends. The car we received was in a lower category than the one we had booked and paid for. Only after we submitted a complaint did Enterprise refund us 20% of the rental fee. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. The car itself was in an unacceptable condition. It was extremely dirty, both inside and out. It was also poorly maintained: the windshield washer fluid was empty, the tires had very little tread left, and the car made worrying noises on bumpy roads. Despite having only about 10,000 miles on the odometer, it certainly did not feel like a well-maintained vehicle. Overall, it gave the impression that the company does not properly maintain its rental cars.

  Enterprise has repeatedly ignored my calls and emails and has provided no response or explanation for charging me an additional £200. This is unacceptable customer service and an extremely poor way to handle a disputed charge. I will not use Enterprise again, and I strongly recommend choosing another car rental company. Having been a loyal Enterprise customer for more than 16 years across several countries, I was extremely disappointed to be charged £200 for a tiny chip on a tyre. The damage was minor, could have occurred without the driver noticing, and might even have been present when the vehicle was collected, particularly if it was on the part of the tyre touching the ground. Not to mention the fact that I own the same VW car and I know its tires cost way less than that! It is not even visible on the photos I took from the tire! More concerning than the charge itself was Enterprise’s response. Staff at the Edinburgh Waverley branch ignored my complaint when I raised it in person while returning the car. I then followed up with a detailed email and photographs, but received no meaningful response. The £200 is not the main issue. What matters is how a company treats a long-standing customer when a charge is disputed. In this case, Enterprise’s handling of the matter fell far below the standard I expected and crossed a line for me.
