  Disgusting customer service. Absolutely shocking standards. Unprofessional in the extreme. Incompetence at a level I don't think I've ever experienced before. Be aware: just because you booked a car with Enterprise in Kilmarnock, it doesn't actually mean they can help you out with a hire car, and you only find this out when you turn up to pick it up. I booked my car online and then they emailed me to say do the online check-in service to "ensure the process goes more smoothly". On the morning, we had to get ready and take ourselves on public transport to Kilmarnock, so quite busy. Whilst joining a queue at the busy bus stop, my phone rang. I couldn't answer it on time, so checked my phone. It was Enterprise Kilmarnock. Being keen to talk to them before paying to get on a bus to Kilmarnock, I phoned them back about 7 times. No answer every time, just ringing out. I checked my voicemail, my email, and my messages. Nothing. We walked in to the office at Enterprise Kilmarnock, and there was an entire team of workers all sitting at PCs with phone headsets on. I nicely said to a young woman with blonde hair that I am to pick up a car that I had hired. She read her screen then instead of talking to my face, started a sort of confused mumble about some problem, whilst glancing round. All of a sudden a rude young man with a beard shouted at me "we have no cars". That was it. No sorry. No explanation for what went wrong. No explaining about what options are available or how I will get a refund. Just hurriedly shouting over at us when we asked "but how?" He argued that he texted me. I showed him my phone. He said my text is broken. I said but I got other texts this morning. He just kept shouting over "your phone is broken", shouting "Well I sent it, look, I can show you my screen". We pointed out it doesn't matter what his screen said, we are the customers and we got no text. From a business sense, why didn't he leave a voicemail, or how about one of the team of many workers trying to phone me again? I pointed at all the workers asking why they didn't phone me? The man kept shouting at me. We asked can you not phone another Enterprise and arrange for a car there? He shouted "we have no cars in the entire area, you can try going to the airport". I had already paid for a bus to Kilmarnock, now he's saying we should pay to go to the airport on the off-chance that there is a car there for hire. Still no apology. Absolutely disgusting service at Enterprise in Kilmarnock. What are they all sitting there doing for their money? If there are no cars and they aren't phoning customers because the manager sent a text, then what are they all doing? So I called Arnold Clark in Kilmarnock and got a lovely car at two hours notice. Charming service from lovely professional calm staff. The saddest thing is I like Enterprise. Have used them many times successfully. My main complaint is the tone of voice - blaming me - no apology. Web databases with drop-downs should not be this bad in 2026.

  The fuel policy is a joke, like for like is impossible to manage plus I wasn't advised of this and filled the van up which cost me £56, having driven 16 miles in the van. Needless to say I brought it up to be told that he should have explained that in the morning and that it was "his bad". Got a phone call the next day to ask how it was and explained this to be told I could only be refunded £20 as anything else would look like they were giving me money for nothing...its not for nothing. Its for the 25L of fuel extra I handed it back with due to no explanation been given

  From booking to handing the vehicle back, nothing could have been smoother. The staff we encountered at the office in Kilmarnock were courteous, friendly and helpful throughout especially Kirstyn and Ewan. Eilidh who received the return of the vehicle was also so pleasant and courteous. I believe that a business's best asset are well trained and knowledgeable staff and Enterprise Kilmarnock have that and more. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with the company as this was a 5 star plus experience. Thank you all.

  Rented a van on Saturday 5th and took it back on Monday morning and the guy said there was a bulge on the front tyre and that I was going to loose my £200 deposit and probably get charged more for a new tyre I wasn't happy so I took the van away to a tyre fitting place and was told there was nothing wrong with the tyre and the bulge was the join in the tyre and its normal because there's a groove on the tyre to show that's where the joint is so if I hadn't taken the van away to get it checked myself I would have lost my deposit..
