- NENatalie ElderSep 29, 20262.0Whilst the staff did what they said they would.. I wasn't sure why it took an hour and a half to do 2 new tyres and alignment?? which was booked in for 8.30am today, which admittedly I was 5mins late (tops) for, whilst people were arriving an hour after me (admitting they were late too) and getting their adjustments and wheel alignments done before me. The receptionist also for some reason gave me the quote twice.. one the day before and then again today in front of a few of the mechanics half an hour after I turned up and I felt they were all laughing or had some private joke going between them. The day before, I was told that all alignments and adjustments would be done as part of the tyre fitting service, then he made out today that he won't charge me for that, as though its an extra and doing me a favour, as I've "been so patient today". I felt like I was being mugged off and patronised because I'm female and my van is a scruffy works van (I work outside so it is mucky) and the vans awaiting some bodywork so I felt I wasn't taken as seriously and made to wait longer than others who have sports cars and thus paying more for tyres etc.. I was given the option to go off to work without the wheel alignment (which was not something I was pushing for, I was polite and patient) but the whole point of getting new tyres there and turning up to the 8.30am appointment was to have the adjustments and alignments done in one go as I had to make a special trip into town for this. I know they did the job eventually but I'm not too sure about going back there as they made me wait longer than others and I've had to push my customers back today because of such a long wait let alone a bit mocked and judged. Bit of a shame.. won't be recommending protyre to female friends sorry. I know it was the boss or supervisors last day there today so this has been left for the new manager to deal with.

I turned up on the day as a low tyre pressure warning came up in my car, they checked it, identified a slice in the tyre and replaced it, within two hours. I have also had my MOTs here for years. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Do I need to wear a face covering when visiting your garage?
To help keep us all safe we do ask that while visiting our garage you remember to wear a face covering (unless exempt in line with Government guidelines) when entering our reception areas and when speaking with members of our in other areas of the garage.

If you are unable to come to us, then we can come to you. We offer vehicle collection and delivery service as well as mobile fitting services. Please give your local garage a call to talk about how we can help.
Do I need prepare my vehicle in anyway before bringing it to a garage?
Where our team members will need entry to your vehicle please can you ensure it is clean inside with no items laying where our team may need to be, such as foot wells. This will minimise contact with surfaces, helping keep everyone safe.
