  DEFINITELY AVOID I've been taking my car to Elmbridge for a few years now, and was always really happy with the service. Since become part of the protyre brand, the service provided has plummeted - and most of the previous staff members have left. I booked my car in for a regular MOT and service. Booked them both in for a morning slot. Upon getting there I was told that there was an issue with their booking system, and the service had been booked for the morning, whilst the MOT had been moved to the last slot in the evening - meaning I had no car for the entire day. When I returned to collect the car, I was told the car has failed it's MOT. This would not usually be an issue, however it failed for something that should have been identified and rectified during the service I had paid for. The receptionist was even confused that it hadn't been noticed. I booked straight back in for a retest and to amend the issue. Upon taking the car for the retest I was told by the receptionist that they were having issues with their MOT testing station and wouldn't be able to do it on that day. There was no attempt to contact me before hand, instead waiting for me to travel to the garage. This meant a day off work for nothing. The receptionist also could not give me a definitive answer of when I could get the retest sorted, meaning I had to find another garage and pay for yet another MOT test. The whole place seems very badly managed, and I no longer have any faith in them. Ive repeatedly tried to contact protyre over the issue, and have been met with nothing.

  Doesn't even deserve one star. Came here to get 4 new tyres fitted and left with an insane quote of £680, which I refused to pay, claiming I needed to get my front shock absorbers done after requesting them to check only my rear ones due to them being on my recent MOT advisories. Was told that oil was leaking from my car when it was put on the ramp and that my car was unsafe to drive, which were both complete lies, when I mentioned me needing to drive to uni starting over the next few days. Soon realised these clever "men" working here were nothing but scammers, when they had told me the wrong ones needed doing in the first place? Over the next few days, I booked in at another garage to get all of my shock absorbers checked and to my suprise was told the front ones do not need doing whatsoever and that the back ones were not worn enough to even be replaced, so have been blatantly lied to to be gained money out of!! If you are a woman/young girl specifically, do NOT go here. You will more than likely be ripped off by "men" who think they can laugh in your face when overcharging you and trick you into spending stupid money for their own pleasure and benefit. Clearly this place isn't making enough money to feel the need to charge a young girl £600 labour when the parts can be found for £70 a pair online!! Absolutely insane.

  I bought tyres through an outside company to be fitted here on 12th September, I arrived for my appointment time to be told that they had received my tyres but I had not been booked in by a colleague so had to leave and rearranged my fitting for 19th September. I arrived for my appointment time and requested very clearly that my new tyres be fitted to the front wheels as the rears were relatively new. They told me that they could not do this as it would mess with the TPMS and that if I wanted them to change the front tyres there would be an extra charge for labour. Not knowing what that meant I left and phoned my partner who told me that’s strange as all the wheels have sensors in them so it makes no difference, after going back in with him on the phone they quickly said “oh you wanted the front ones?” And then quickly agreed to change the fronts like I originally wanted. Overall not a good experience and will not be returning

  Turned up today for a 9am fitting for four van tyres. Their reception desk attitude was shocking - sorry mate my internet is down and I can’t see your booking so you’ll have to book again. I would not recommend them as they clearly had no intention of trying to help solve the problem.

  Very friendly and helpful, explain everything what needs doing and what they have done. Used a few times now never had a issue. Highly recommend
