  Awful service, bullied me into a extortionate amount of insurance with scare tactics and then gave an extremely rude response when I queried this later, saying "well we didn't force you to sign anything". I am disgusted at this customer service and the way that the staff handles this situation. Ended up paying nearly £500 for a 3 day car hire which is crazy! Manager is young and extremely arrogant. Will not be returning or recommending

  Excellent! Received a Peugeot 2008 in excellent state and very comfortable. I also booked two baby car seats and to my surprise, I got pristine, cleaner than new seats - something I never got before in a car hire. They actually clean it between all clients. Kudos for that. Plus personal was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go there again !

  The staff were friendly but the company left us in a really tough situation. Ordered a car from them to pick up from the airport as wee we’re staying quite remotely. Upon arriving to pick up the car they scanned my ID and told us they couldn’t rent us the car as my address couldn’t be found or was blacklisted. They couldn’t give me any more details on this as it was run by a third party company. I’ve lived at this address for 30 years and voted in recent local elections so there should have been no problems. There wasn’t mention of these checks online when I booked the car and paid for it in full. They suggested we go to another retailer. Luckily Europacar were brilliant and thankfully they had one car left. Annoyingly as we were booking it on the day it was twice the price. My ID went through first time with no issues on their check. I can’t tell you how much stress and little sympathy Alamo showed when leaving us totally stranded. If Europacar hadn’t had one we’d have been stranded at the airport.
