Car delivered early, nicely reversed onto my drive and keys dropped through the door. Easy process with collection too!

Arrived to collect pre booked van. No issue with cuatomer service, signed documents, checked van over for dents- no issues. I checked the tyre pressures before I left, as was going to be motorway driving. I amazingly discovered that the offside front tyre was bald and way below the legal limit. It had obviously been like this for some time and never been picked up on pre hire checks. I cannot believe enterprise has been hiring out this van to other customers before me with an illegal tyre which can attract points and a fine if stopped by the police. The staff were great and done all they could, eventually managing to have the tyre changed, although they struggled to achieve this as no support within enterprise I understand. Have been issued a discount and it's not the site staff fault. Point being someone is being paid to check vehicles prior to issue and the system has completely failed. This is a stackable offence as has put hikers driving at a significant safety risk. Terrible for such a large well established company. Please check the vehicle's yourself before driving off as Enterprise cannot be relied upon to undertake the safety checks as part of their own duty of care before hiring. Better yet dont put yourself at risk and hire from another company. To caveat, the lads on the day done everything they could and got me on the road sometime later. My work was not time critical, so all was okay in the end. It's however a safety critical failure of the wider system which should be investigated. Thanks to Liam and team on the day, appreciated P.s. Generic AI replies to my review. Why would I want to reply to them!?

Imagine being a van rental company.. and not having any vans. Booked a large van for a house move today on Sunday, only to be told at 8:25 am on the way to collect that they have none available. None at Northwich, Crewe or Macclesfield. The excuse? Oh nobody was in for the bank holiday so we didn’t know we had none in the branch. The website lets you book without actually checking stock. For a well known, reputable and likely incredibly wealthy company.. your admin is certainly lacking! Surely keeping stock and track of your assets is simple business management, and surely it would be quite simple to have a website able to check local stock availability. If you’re on a time crunch, need a van for a certain date or purpose.. just don’t bother. Clearly they have absolutely no awareness or interest in their own assets. Imagine leaving a family without the ability to move on their move out day.. and having absolutely no care in the world. Imagine being a van rental company and not having any vans…
