The Cambridge Performance Tyres - Team Protyre was acquired by Protyre in 2007 along with the centre at Stortford. Originally setup to serve the performance tyre community it is located off Cherry Hinton Road on the Clifton Road Industrial Estate. The Cambridge Performance Tyre centre is a Pirelli Platinum performance centre, the highest rating that can be achieved and is also a Michelin accredited location. As well as providing tyres from leading brands including Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear Dunlop and GT Radial. Customer demand has meant that a mobile tyre fitting service has been introduced allowing customers to have new tyres fitted at home or work and for us to deal with tyre emergencies.
Today Cambridge Performance Tyres - Team Protyre undertakes all types of mechanical and servicing work, diagnostics, MOTs, replacing brakes, batteries, exhausts and has a state of the art laser wheel alignment system. The centre also recharges air-conditioning systems.

I have used this company for over 30 years and when the news broke to staff that its going to be built over for railway expansion, the staff have left. I hope that protyre move premises soon. It was 11am so plenty of time to have rung me and let me know rather than let me waste 1hr of my time on the round trip across Cambridge. To add insult to injury I had to wait ages in reception whilst they were telling another customer who booked via Asda by phone. Avoid.

I had a service on the 17th of August, when I was advised that a front spring had broken and that it would be better to delay the MOT until it was fixed, as that would cause a failure. The earliest they could fit it in (what is quite a simple job) was the 28th of August. I arrived today only to be turned away and told that they couldn’t do it, as they didn’t have the staff, and that there was no chance of rebooking it before my MOT expired next week. A phone call to advise me of this might have been nice before I arrived at the store?
