Paid in advance for full service, for a morning appointment. Dropped off at 8.30 as agreed and manager had told me it would take around 2 and a half hours. I heard nothing from the garage and tried to call repeatedly to see if I could pick but the phone is simply not answered and I was losing a day at work. I contacted Protyre and spoke to a helpful person who said the area manager would call me (Rob). I did manage to get someone to pick up the phone around 2.30 who said my van was ready. When I collected I was initially very frustrated but it became very clear that the female receptionist was also working on the cars, answering all calls, dealing with anyone that came to reception and printing all invoices etc. Total overload and impossible task for her with only one other staff member. I ended up feeling feeling less angry and felt sorry for the position she had been put in by those in charge. The service from this Protyre was nowhere near the level I received from other branches. As she was so overworked I have little confidence it was possible for her to carry out the 50+ service checks while doing all the other tasks. Because of this I am only giving one star due to all the problems. But I think the garage needs to sort out their staffing and not ask the impossible of one member of staff. I am waiting to see if the area manager Rob does actually does call me as promised..........

Well where do I start having used this garage for nearly 8 years this is the only time we have had a very poor experience our car was taken by aa last Monday as problem with clutch the car is still there a week later and no work done , kept fobbing us off with excuses that then parts they need not all had arrived , then get told that they couldn't take the tire off as a part of the kit in glove compartment was missing so need to order that and then they say they can't do the work and said they would take to next door as being a vauxhall mechanic and they will sort the manager and the useless women who works there are useless in communicating and never do what they say they will do got more luck with speaking to other garage and hopefully will get the car from them on Tuesday to look amd repair so yet again having to be without a car for going into a second week such a shame as the garage used to be good but how downhill it has got

When I arrived at 8:45am for my 9:00am booking, I was told the tyres would likely be fitted around 11–12 instead, as there were too many bookings in the same time frame. I was also told that when you book a tyre fitting appointment, it is only a drop-off time, not the actual time your tyres will be fitted. That was the first time I had ever heard that. I guess it’s not a big deal if you have all day to spare just to get two tyres fitted. I have nothing against the lady working there — she was polite and helpful — but she seemed to be working on her own and clearly understaffed, which makes it difficult for the service to run on time. The phone was also ringing non-stop and no one was able to answer it, so don’t rely on getting through by phone. In my opinion, this is not a good business practice and could also raise health and safety concerns. I don’t think I will be using them again.

I had a very disappointing experience today. I booked a tyre replacement through Asda, but when I arrived, I was told that their pressure system was down. While I understand that technical issues can happen, it would have been considerate to inform customers in advance to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. When I asked why I hadn’t been notified, I was simply told to contact Asda, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. The receptionist’s attitude throughout the interaction was unprofessional and came across as rude. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable with how I was treated, as it seemed disrespectful and inappropriate. Customer service should start with a basic apology and a willingness to assist, even when issues arise. I would strongly recommend that staff, especially those in front-facing roles, receive proper customer service and communication training.
