After the initial inspection, they called me to say the car had failed due to an issue with the exhaust, assuring me that if I replaced it, there would be no problem passing the test. Trusting their professional advice, I agreed to the repair, which cost me £530. However, after the work was done, they called me again to say that the car was still failing the MOT due to emissions issues. When I went to collect the vehicle, they told me they had “thought everything would be fine,” but that was not the case. I find it completely unacceptable that they assured me the issue would be resolved when it clearly wasn’t guaranteed. As someone with no mechanical knowledge, I relied on their expertise, and I feel that they were neither honest nor transparent. If I had been told from the beginning that replacing the exhaust would not guarantee passing the MOT, I would have considered other options instead of spending that amount of money for no result. I am very dissatisfied with the service and, honestly, I feel misled.
