Took my car in due to hearing a banging noise from passenger side. They took a look and said it was a part that needed ordering in and that would cost £90. They had my car a full day. Had no phone call to update me. Therefore, I rang at around 16:00. They said they had ordered the part 3 times but kept sending the wrong part. They sent me away saying I needed to go to Nissan to get them to order the part and bring my car back for them to install.
Went to Nissan, they got the part, costed me £186. Took my car back in to Barnsley Auto Centre, I then received a phone call saying that when they put my car on the “rack” it was a lot worse than originally thought and that I needed a whole new part of which they couldn’t order. Again asking me to go to Nissan to buy another part but in the mean time it was unsafe to have my car back.
Went to Nissan. Ordered the part which cost a further £140 (had to wait a week for it to come). Took the part to garage back to Barnsley Auto Centre, costing me a further £140 even they quoted me £90 for the part and installation originally?
Couple of days after receiving my car back I noticed a part was missing. Rang Barnsley Auto Centre, they tried making out the part had “fallen off” whilst I was driving?! Got told I’d get a phone call from the manager. This never happened. Every day for 2 weeks I rang and all I got was “manager is busy”, “manager is on a call”. 2 weeks later I finally spoke to the manager. He said he was completely unaware of the situation!? Baring in mind this had been going on for 3 weeks. He said he will order the part in and that he would ring me. Once again no phone call. 3 weeks later I finally managed to speak to the manager and he said he’s struggling to find the part but when he does he will “ring me”. And as you might have guessed, this never happened.
I got sick of being messed around, so I decided to go to Nissan AGAIN and they ordered the part straight away and within 2 days the part arrived and Nissan sorted it out for me. Only costing £20.
