  I rented a van from here after renting cars here every summer, I will never go back. Firstly, when I picked up the van, the employee explained to me that if I return it with less fuel than on collection, they'd only charge me the pump price for the difference. When I dropped it off, I was immediately told by the same person that I'd incur an administration fee for the trouble of no one replacing the fuel, as no one rents a vehicle with a full tank anymore. After calling later on to report this misleading practice, I was assured my card would be refunded. This never happened and as I then had to travel abroad I couldn't chase up again. Secondly, as soon as I dropped the van off, the agent seemed to hone right in on the windscreen, under the wipers. Despite it being dark, she seemed to notice right away a fine crack, which I had failed to spot on pick-up. I've driven through loose stones before and know what it sounds like when one cracks a windscreen. In the few hours I drove the van, nothing hit my windscreen, and as I pointed out if something did hit the area then surely it would have also chipped at the front of the van. As I didn't video and photo the van all over before driving off, it was their word against mine and that was that. The agent's nervous jumping straight for the obscured crack and unreliability over the fuel costs were suspicious enough to put me off ever dealing with this branch again. Make sure you if do use them that you record every corner of the windshield before driving away.

  Twice I’ve rented a vehicle from this branch for the earliest time possible, on both occasions the car was not ready and requires cleaning. Arranging to hire a car at 8am, and then having to wait 30 minutes whilst they clean the vehicle is just a waste of time.

  Due to mechanical issues with my work van I needed to rent a small van to get around to service my own customers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the whole process was effortless. I rented three vans in total over three weeks and all were spotless, clean in the back and presentable, exactly what I needed as I like to make an impression to my own clients. Thank you to everyone at Enterprise Portslade, keep up the good work and if I ever need another rental i know where to go.
