Dear Enterprise Customer Relations, My name is Jagdeep Singh, and I am writing to formally complain about a vehicle rental and a subsequent damage claim that has been wrongly attributed to me. I rented a van from your branch, but the DPF became blocked. The branch replaced the van; however, the brakes on the replacement vehicle were faulty and were not working properly. I was then instructed to attend the nearest branch, which was the South Bristol branch. When I arrived, I was not provided with a van that evening. After waiting approximately seven or eight hours, I was given a vehicle to travel home and was told that the replacement van would arrive. The following day, I returned to the branch, where the replacement van had arrived, and it was changed for me again. I then loaded my stock into the vehicle. The previous van had broken down, so before leaving I asked a member of staff to check the replacement van carefully. The staff inspected it properly and walked around it twice, confirming that the vehicle was in satisfactory condition. There were no new scratches or other damage to the vehicle. The only scratches present were those that had already existed before I took possession of it. There was also a tear in the carpet underneath, around the foot area, which is something that can occur through regular use of Enterprise vehicles. However, I was later accused of causing roof damage, even though there was no damage to the roof. Approximately three or four months later, I received an email regarding a claim alleging roof damage, carpet damage and a scratch. I did not cause any of this damage, and it was not my responsibility. It appears that the claim was raised without a full or proper investigation. If Enterprise believed that I had caused the damage, why was my deposit returned? Why was the deposit not retained while the matter was investigated? When my deposit was initially withheld, I attended the branch to ask why I had not received it. The branch then returned £97 to me, explaining that this was the remaining amount after deducting fees for two recovery services. I accepted this explanation and did not question it further at the time. However, a further two or three months later, I received a claim for £1,400. I cannot understand why I should be expected to pay such a substantial amount for damage that I did not cause. Enterprise should conduct a proper investigation before attributing damage to a customer, particularly where doing so causes significant mental stress. This incident occurred around June or July, yet I did not receive the claim until October. I had deleted the photographs and videos I had taken because I believed I was clearly in the right and did not expect a claim to be raised months later. I would also like an explanation as to why the claim was not raised the following week or within the same month. Why did Enterprise wait three or four months before notifying me? The delay has made it more difficult for me to provide evidence in my defence. I request a full explanation of how this claim was investigated, the evidence relied upon, and the reason the alleged damage has been attributed to me. I also request that the £1,400 claim be withdrawn unless Enterprise can provide clear and reliable evidence that I caused the damage. I look forward to receiving a prompt and detailed response. Yours faithfully, Jagdeep Singh

I booked a Premium XC90 @ Enterprise - Erdington for two days to drop my parents off at Heathrow Airport, and my wife and I absolutely loved the car. A special thanks to Jim for showing me the car and taking the time to explain all the details, including the excess and other important information. I would definitely use their service again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
