- DJDac J1sJun 20, 20263.0At some point between specifying the car we needed, either Expedia or National, the requirement for an automatic was dropped. As a result, we had to pay for an upgrade to an automatic when we picked up the car in Bath. And the car we got was not a compact. You have to appreciate that as a Canadian, I not only had to adjust to driving on the left but also to driving a larger car on some of the narrower roads common in the UK. I had no other problems with the car or my dealings with the staff who served me.
