  Beware of Enterprise/Alamo at Belfast International Airport - I booked one 7-seater, they gave me two 5-seaters, charged me double on the guise I would get half back and now refuse to refund me. I booked and paid for a 7-seater vehicle, but when I arrived they told me they didn’t have one available. Their solution was essentially that I had no choice but to make a second booking and take two 5-seater cars instead. We were visiting from Australia and were not equipped or expecting to have two separate drivers and two vehicles for the trip. I made it very clear that I did not want to pay for two cars because of their failure to provide the vehicle I had booked. I was assured that the second car would be refunded so that I would not be left paying for their mistake. When I returned the cars, they attempted to give me only a partial refund. There was no clear explanation, and had I not questioned the amount, I genuinely believe it would have simply been processed without being properly addressed. When I challenged this, the interaction became hostile. I was told they couldn’t authorise the full refund without speaking to a manager, but I was promised that it would be sorted and that I would be contacted by email. It felt like this was done because they knew we were rushing to get to the airport and they had no intention of refunding me. That was two months ago. Since then, I have contacted Enterprise/Alamo around five times through multiple contact forms and customer service channels. I have received no proper response and, most importantly, no refund. The end result is that Enterprise/Alamo did not provide the vehicle I booked, forced me into the inconvenience of taking two cars instead, and I ended up paying approximately double because of their mistake. I am now having to dispute the transaction through my bank simply to recover money I was explicitly told would be refunded. An absolutely appalling way to treat a customer, particularly one visiting from overseas. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking here.

  Friendly staff - straightforward pick up and return BUT car was only 3/4 full at pick up and I only noticed that as I left compound so had to return to draw attention to that. Was told paperwork would be amended to show that and that I should return it 3/4 full. That though is hard to judge when filling up and so I put more fuel into it at end of rental than I needed to.

  I always have a good experience with Alamo at Belfast International Airport. The new manager, Connor is so kind and helpful. I had an emergency during my visit and he helped me extend my car rental with no hassle. I am so grateful to him. Also, all the other staff are easy to deal with. I highly recommend Alamo.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a bit of an issue with the Alamo staff inside Belfast International Airport. To be absolutely clear, it wasn’t their fault either, and we weren’t kicking off or making a complaint — we simply asked a question and had a quick conversation with Aaron at the Alamo desk outside. Aaron was absolutely brilliant. Without a second thought, he sorted the issue out for us and went completely above and beyond to help. He was friendly, professional, genuinely lovely and just had such a great attitude. What really stood out was that we didn’t have to push, complain or make a fuss. We simply explained the situation, and Aaron immediately took ownership and sorted it for us. That kind of customer service makes such a difference. We hire cars fairly regularly and Aaron genuinely stood out as one of the nicest and most helpful people we’ve dealt with. He is a real credit to Alamo and deserves to be recognised for how brilliant he was. Thank you, Aaron! You were an absolute star. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
