  I had a great experience hiring my car with Alamo. Johnathan was fantastic. He was a warm, welcoming and friendly face to arrive in Northern Ireland and meet. He was very informative and helpful. Thank you so much for your excellent service!

  The 7-seater car itself drove well and was comfortable for our trip, but it was handed over in a terrible condition. The car was very dirty, including the windscreen, which was difficult to see through. We were told their pressure washer was broken, which honestly is not an acceptable excuse when customers are paying good money to hire a vehicle. What frustrated me the most was the way we were charged unfairly at the end of the booking. Our reservation clearly stated collection at 10am on 26 May 2026 and return at 10am on 28 May 2026. We arrived early at Belfast International Airport at around 9am, and the staff member at the desk told us it was “fine” to take the car earlier at 9:00am. Naturally, I assumed this was simply good customer service and a kind gesture from the company. When returning the car, I dropped it off at 9:52am. The inspection was completed and everything was confirmed to be fine, including the fuel level. Then, out of nowhere, I was told I would be charged an extra £147.90 for an additional day because the return time had supposedly changed to 9:27am — something nobody clearly explained when we picked the car up. This felt extremely dishonest and misleading. If they had properly explained that accepting the car early would also change my return time and lead to extra charges, I would have simply waited until 10am. Instead, it felt like a setup to charge more money from my deposit. This completely ruined the end of what was otherwise a lovely first visit to Northern Ireland. The lack of transparency and poor customer service were genuinely shocking. Very disappointed, and unfortunately this experience deserves a 1-star review.

  These guys made car hire so easy, other companies should follow by their example. I won't use anyone else now. Shaun & Manus went above and beyond to make our trip easy. No waiting either end.

  I am very pleased with the whole stress-free car hiring process provided by Alamo (Belfast intl airport). I opted for their compact auto option, they provided a Mazda CX-5, 2024 reg. The car was in excellent condition, and the pickup and drop off process was buttery smooth. The staffs were very amiable and listened to my queries with great patience. Highly recommended!
