- PMPat MerkelJan 3, 20261.0Stay away from this particular, Mr. tire store. I brought my son‘s car there for tires. During installation I was told the car needed struts. So $1550 later I picked up the car. My son drove it for two hours and the right front wheel folded up underneath the car. Fortunately, he was not hurt. I had it towed to a reputable mechanic shop that night. They told me that whoever installed the struts neglected to bolt one of them down. They repaired it for $459. I brought that invoice to Mr. tire. General manager, Marty, and assistant manager Nick were apologetic and promised that the $459 for the repair would be credited back to my Visa card. After the first month with no refund, I started to visit the store at least twice a week for an explanation. I was told the refund was approved and I just needed to wait a little bit longer. I was told that twice a week every week for another two months. Then Marty pulled the race card and told me I was only giving him a hard time because he was black. Ridiculous! Then when I threatened a lawsuit, he advised me against it because he said the parent company was run by the mob. Finally, I did receive a check for the $459 refund after 3 1/2 months of getting this runaround. This is the only Mr. tire location that I have been to so I can’t condemn any others. I can document every word of this review. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this particular Mr. Tire location.
