Buyer Beware
I purchased a 2022 Mazda CX-5 in July 2025 with under 30,000 miles. The Carfax report appeared clean, and I was told the vehicle was in excellent condition. I also signed under the understanding that it still carried a manufacturer’s warranty due to the low mileage.
However, within just 9 months of ownership, the vehicle is already in need of significant repairs — including replacement of the tires, battery, struts, and rear brakes.
I was specifically told by my salesperson, Brandon, that the vehicle had new tires and brakes and would not need any major maintenance anytime soon. That statement has proven to be inaccurate. These are not minor wear items — they are major components that should not be failing this soon after purchase, especially on a vehicle presented as being in strong condition.
Additionally, I made a $5,000 down payment and traded in my previous vehicle, which was also purchased from this dealership and had known mechanical issues. Despite this, I experienced unprofessional communication from the finance representative (Phil/Phillip), including pressure and threats to repossess the vehicle over a routine lender onboarding call — without consideration for my work schedule.
While Brandon was polite in person, communication throughout the process was inconsistent, and key details about the vehicle’s condition were clearly misrepresented.
At this point, I am requesting that the dealership take responsibility and provide a resolution regarding the condition of the vehicle, particularly the tires, brakes, battery, and suspension components that were presented as already addressed.
I will be including photos to support these claims
