- YFYolanda FavorsJan 24, 20221.0I don’t know if all Budget’s are like this, but I’ll never be back. The staff is unprofessional, rude, and they hide deposits. I booked a moving truck online, with no mention of a $300 deposit. I still agreed to pay. Everything was fine, even though fees were confusing, until she tried to run my license through some machine they have. My license is less than 6 months old with no scratches. After two runs the attendant says well I can’t rent to you because it’s says there was a problem with your barcode. She had my credit card, that was in my name and could clearly see nothing was wrong with the license. She didn’t see if maybe her machine was malfunctioning or ask a manager what may be wrong. It was their closing time, so I was made to stand outside and wait for my ride to come back. While waiting they closed the gate and said they can pull up on the street, forcing me to wait in the cold then hop the gate to get home. I’ve never had any of these problems or fees at uhaul or Penske. It was ridiculous. Left there and went to uhaul. Was in and out in 15 min with no hidden fees or problems with my perfectly intact license. I also wasn’t required to use a credit card.

When I first arrived she was on her cell phone and did not advise them that she had to go until after I had been standing there for at least 2 minutes. She never greeted me upon walking in and acted as though I was bothering her on her time.
