- PHPatty HiltibidalApr 25, 20241.01st of all when making the reservation I was assured the car carrier would be attached to the truck at pick up. Man at rental place refused to help. I called Penske & was told there were videos available to show me how. Videos say 2 people are needed. I'm a 64 yr old woman who was alone. Next I was OVER charged $300 & have to wait 5 days for a refund. 3rd the truck had an oil leak so now the new pavers at home are oil stained. Again I called customer service & was told it's OK to drive if no indicators are on. 2.5 hours into the trip the oil light came on with a message to add oil. I called roadside service & was told to bring it in to a dealer. When asked about it being brought to me I was told it would be a couple of hours. Now I have to drive 30 minutes out of my way (an hour total) & then had to wait another 20-30 minutes for the leak to be fixed. In short these delays were enough that it is adding on an additional night in a hotel that I did not budget for. I will NEVER USE OR RECCOMEND PENSKE TO ANYONE. In fact I'd say run away as fast as you can. Worst experience I've ever had & they didn't care!
