Customer service was severely lacking, and the overall attitude of the staff suggested that customers were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Additionally, employees demonstrated little to no automotive knowledge, which further compounded the poor experience. This was, without question, the worst experience I have had at an Advance Auto location. The level of unprofessionalism was disappointing and has significantly diminished my confidence in the brand, solidifying my decision to take my business elsewhere.

I mentioned it to the very friendly and helpful staff, but they informed me the lights were not working. Seems a business like this should be able to keep the outside lights working, at least for safety purposes.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
