I want to give a huge thank you to Store Manager Michele Harmon and associate Michele Harmon for their outstanding kindness and support. My car broke down in the store parking lot due to a radiator leak, which was already a frustrating situation. Car trouble is never fun, especially when you’re stressed and trying to figure out what to do.
Both of these ladies went above and beyond to help me. They checked on me regularly, were incredibly friendly and understanding, and even allowed me to use store tools so I could get my car fixed and back up and running. Their compassion and willingness to help truly made a difficult situation so much easier.
Customer service like this is rare. I’m so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. They turned a stressful day into a positive experience, and I can’t thank them enough!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?
Expand FAQ item
Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
