I asked Mark, the CSR on my invoice, TWICE to use 5w20 oil - I have a 2009 vehicle that burns 0W20, but not 5w20 oil - and BOTH are acceptable oils as printed on the oil filler cap. I also asked the man filling the oil to make to use 5w20. Upon reading my receipt at home, I see they put in 0w20. 2ndly, 0W20 (full syntenic) has a life expectancy of 7,000-10,000 miles and yet their sticker they placed on the windshield states I am due for an oil change in 3,000 miles. Third, on the invoice, it said they reset my oil service indicator light. Unless they have a method I've never heard of, they did not enter my vehicle and reset the indicator the standard method via holding the button on the odometer, when on "Trip A", for 5 seconds when you turn the ignition over. Lastly, I am not a fan of oil change places that no longer remove the drain plug and drain the oil. I was unaware of this suction procedure via the oil dipstick tube. Mark's comment was they found they had too many service technicians stripping the drain plugs, and this was a more cost effective method.

Service was fast, and he was extremely knowledgeable about my car. He went above and beyond while servicing my vehicle and made sure everything was in order. He also took the time to explain the importance of why certain things need to be replaced and helped me understand what actually matters for the health of the car. Please keep him — he’s the main reason I drive across town to this Valvoline specifically. From here on out, both my car and my wife’s car will be serviced at this location.

It is rare to see a member of his generation working so hard while having a positive attitude and a great smile. I was impressed by his work ethic. The service was fast and efficient. His manager is Mark and he was very accommodating as well.
