    I rent from here pretty often when I travel for work. The staff always takes great care of me, and I'm in and out on no time! This morning Lee took amazing care of me as always, thank you very much. My daughter lives out of town and had to rent one for tomorrow, I told her that National should always be her first choice.

    One particular person who works there, I don’t know her name, but her employee number is E85B7F possibly according to my reservation sheet. She was a rude and snotty infant at every opportunity. I asked a few questions that each came with an eye roll or a sarcastic attitude. Following this interaction with her inside of the building, I was also lucky enough to run into her as my checkout person outside. This is where she charged me over $500 to my credit card without asking or telling me why or even saying anything at all, except an incredibly snarky “give me your keys”. I just happened to have a previous reservation using free rental days and executive level membership, so that my total should have been $18. Even if the cost was for the $400 security deposit, that amount doesn’t add up. I called the 800 number after noticing it and Samara was VERY helpful and kind. This employee E85B7F was very unhelpful, and somehow gets away with talking to people the way that she does for too long. I’m assuming it was employee E85B7F. It’s what’s on my reservation sheet. She was a younger lady. There were another couple of older women at the curbside car thing who were very kind and not rude at all.

    I loved that the vehicle pick-up was convenient to the terminal, and I could choose between vehicles in person rather than trying to gauge vehicle size online.

    I was positively surprised by how good my experience was with National. The process was really smooth and efficient. I checked in to pick up my rental, walked out to the booth with my reservation, and within minutes, I had the keys to my car and was on my way. I want to say the process took 15, maybe 20 minutes. Returning the vehicle was just as great. All of the attendants were courteous and very professional. Lee, the attendant that managed my return, was great! I enjoyed her positive attitude and her assistance in making sure my final bill was accurate. I will definitely be returning to National for my next rental.

    I rented a car from National at Savannah Airport on December 15 around 8pm and had a very frustrating experience. As an Emerald Club member, I followed the app directions and asked a lot attendant for help. She pointed me to the Emerald Aisle. I picked the first available car I saw there, a Genesis, right under the Emerald signage. My app said to grab a vehicle from the emerald aisle, it did not specify a brand or model. After waiting in a very long line at the exit gate, the attendant (Leah) told me I could not drive that car because I am 24 years old and it is considered a luxury vehicle, which requires drivers to be at least 25. I had to get out, switch to the passenger seat, hold up the entire long line in the process, and be driven by another lot attendant back to the same emerald aisle where she literally parked it back in the spot that led to the mixup in the first place. It was embarrassing and inconvenient with staff acting like it was my fault for not knowing their classification. The attendant (Leah) even rudely remarked, “Well, it’s not a Ford,” when I questioned how I was supposed to identify it among similar-looking cars in the designated aisle. I am sorry I do not work at a rental car lot, Leah, I had no idea what a genesis is and was not trying to pull one over on you for my 12 hour work trip. I literally just grabbed the first car in the emerald aisle and it didn’t look any different than any other car. This was not a Mercedes or BMW or something obviously luxury, it was a genesis (which I have had no experience with prior obviously). Also, the car was black and it was night time. Leah continuously was implying I was just dumb for not instantly recognizing Genesis as a top notch luxury car and that this is not an issue on their end because most of their customers are over 25 anyway. ??? National should ensure “luxury” vehicles aren’t misplaced in the standard Emerald Aisle to avoid inconveniencing customers. Overall, VERY poor service and no apology for their error. Tyler, the manager at this time, was completely disinterested and offered no apology or clarity. I understand the policy, but not the placement of the genesis vehicle within the emerald club aisle (of which I am a member of). This seems to contradict itself. Why would you put a vehicle that can only be driven by SOME emerald club members in the emerald aisle for all members, this defeats the whole purpose of making it grab and go. I had absolutely no preference for any vehicle as I was only in town overnight. I grabbed the first one under the emerald aisle sign. The worst part was being treated as if I was the inconvenience myself and as if I was not being subjected to an elaborate and frustrating inconvenience by National. I followed the instructions exactly. Outside of my awful experience, they have horrible signage from the baggage claim to the lot and the line at the exit gate took longer than my actual flight. A terrible introduction to Savannah 🥲
