- DGdiane givenAug 17, 20242.0I'm giving this store 2 stars only because I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that there may be SOME redeeming quality I haven't discovered to keep them from being a 1. My daughter and son-in-law are broken down at this store, 1700 miles from home, trying to get a little troubleshooting done to help them work out the issue. They don't have a lot of money to spend fixing something that isn't the problem. You know we've all been THERE. They asked the employees of this store to CHECK THE BATTERY. Nothing invasive, nothing time consuming, just a simple battery check to see if it's holding a charge. They were told the employees would only do the engine check with the electronic meter, and they would 'have to Google what the codes mean'. They wouldn't even EXPLAIN to them what the codes meant, and my daughter was expected to take pictures of the codes on her phone, and then figure out what the codes mean on their own. WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. I hope each and every one of the employees of this store find as much kindness and customer service wherever THEY go on vacation. Avoid this store if you can AT ALL.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
