This has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve ever had, especially because I chose this shop based on a prior positive experience with Joe Hudson’s Collision Center/ Gerber Collison
I went out of my way to bring my car here—I could have had it repaired in Atlanta, but instead I drove four hours because I trusted this company. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion.
Before even getting to this location, I visited another Joe Hudson’s location in Statesboro, where I was told my car was “not drivable” and “not repairable,” despite the fact that I had just driven it four hours. I also felt like my concerns weren’t being listened to at all.
At this location, things didn’t improve. My car has now been in the shop for over a month, largely due to them ordering the wrong part, which caused avoidable delays with little accountability.
On top of that, I was given multiple pickup dates, and every single one was pushed back. Not once did anyone proactively reach out to provide updates—I had to call every time just to find out what was going on. Being left in the dark for weeks about your own vehicle is unacceptable.
There was also a major lack of communication regarding my vehicle’s location. I showed up to the Pooler location expecting to pick up my car, only to find out it was in the process of being sent back to Statesboro—something that was never communicated to me beforehand. When I questioned it, I was told this is something they “usually do,” in a rude tone but no one ever informed me.That kind of assumption without communicating with the customer is completely unacceptable.
Because of these delays, I’ve had to extend my rental beyond the covered period and pay out of pocket, which should not happen when the delay was caused by the shop.
There is no sense of urgency, no clear communication, and no respect for the customer’s time or money.
The one positive in this experience was Ms. Brenda at the front desk. She was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable during a very frustrating process. I truly appreciate her.
Overall, it’s extremely disappointing to go from trusting this company enough to drive hours for service to having this kind of experience across multiple locations. I would not recommend this location.
