Franchises charge separately for the filter, which is extra money in their pockets. Privately owned locations include the filter in their oil change. For example, the Grease Monkey in Jonesboro does this, which is exactly where I will be going to in the future. The courtesy of asking next time so the customer is aware would be nice!!
