But being greeted goes a long way when it comes to custo.er service. I won't get car parts anywhere else if I'm buying local. Unless they say they have it at another location. I always check here first.

I quickly stopped at this Advanced Auto-a really nice gentleman behind the service counter did a diagnostic test and told me exactly what was wrong with my car, he let me know it was safe to drive to the repair shop and he was super nice and highly knowledgeable about cars. I do not get his name, but it was around 9:40am on 10/24/25. I was so thankful and grateful for his help, and it meant so much I had to leave a review! Superb Job Sir! Thank You!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
