  My car battery died on a day I had many appointments. I was able to get a jump and went to the Auto Zone on Shurling Drive in Macon. I had a short time window to buy a new battery and have it installed. Fortunately there was a pleasant and very competent young woman named Kay at the desk who listened to my needs and quickly identified the best battery for me. The store manager, Jay, installed it. Kay was also able to identify a replacement marine battery for the sump pump at my house. The technician servicing the sump pump wasn’t willing to sell me one because his company charged $1500 for it! Kay found me one for under $150! These good folks made my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  The ladies working were friendly and welcoming... Quickly found the parts I was looking, A+++. As a side note they have great sense of humor, while I was waiting in line a guy was trying to exchange a 10 year old spark claiming he got a bad one from the establishment... These girls handled it with grace, and explained it was obviously an old plug and they wouldn't exchange it... After the guy walked out, I over heard one of the girls say, "what do we look like, Ren and Simpy in here" if you grew up in the 90's you know... I was laughing for a couple blocks after leaving...

  My wife and I had just gotten back from our honeymoon and were driving her stuff, car, and cat from Savannah GA to Joplin MO when her check engine light came on and the car started shaking awfully. Pulled over into Macon just cause it was the closest city and arrived at this AutoZone about 20 minutes before they closed where Joe and Terry went above and behind to help us get back on the road despite the late nature of our visit. They helped find the problem and then even arranged for a mechanic to come at 8pm at night to change our spark plug! Thanks to them and the mechanic, Mr. Moss, an amazing mechanic and individual, we were able to make it back to Missouri with no further problems! In a time of stress these gentlemen came through for us! Great people!
