First, the service was not as thorough or professional as I expected. After the oil change, the technician did not reset my vehicle’s oil maintenance indicator, which is a basic step that should be completed with every service. I had to notice that myself afterward. There also did not appear to be any type of quick general inspection performed—no checks of lights, horn, windshield wipers, or other standard items that are typically included with a quick-service oil change. The service also wasn’t particularly quick. I waited quite a while, even though vehicles that arrived after me were being serviced at the exit area. That added to the frustration because the whole purpose of a place like Valvoline is supposed to be fast, efficient service. The technician who assisted me, Raymond, was friendly and relatable, but the interaction felt a little too casual for a professional service setting. While friendliness is appreciated, it felt more like I was being treated as one of his friends rather than as a paying customer. That casual approach seemed to carry over into the quality of the service provided. Overall, the experience was very subpar, especially compared to places like Take 5 Oil Change or Tire Engineers, where the process is typically more structured, professional, and thorough. I left feeling like the service did not meet basic expectations for a quick oil change. I hope the location improves its attention to detail and professionalism moving forward.
