After testing it, the counter associate informed me it was still under warranty and began processing a free replacement. I hadn’t even asked for a deal; I was fully prepared to pay. Unfortunately, the manager (Anton) came over and began berating the associate right in front of me for honoring the warranty. He then questioned my driving habits and complained about having to "answer for" the warranty claim. He made me feel like I was doing something wrong by simply accepting the warranty that comes with the product. I appreciate the clerk's help, but the management here is unprofessional and disrespectful to loyal customers.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
