My car light came on with a battery picture on my way from Asheville, North Carolina to Atlanta Georgia. I tried three other places getting turned away at the door, but I finally found spikes. They were so pleasant and nice and very helpful. They hooked my car to the scanner and found the problem right away and even fixed it immediately afterwards to get me back on the road. I can’t recommend them enough and thankfully stumbled upon this shop.

We had an oil leak that got worse over time. We took it to Spike’s and they did a thorough inspection. Turned out that there were multiple issues. The repair work and costs were explained and we agreed to have the problems fixed. Spike’s did a wonderful job and our Honda CR-V is running great again with no more leaks.

My experience with this business was not a pleasant one. Caused me several days of distress. The owner did make it right and refunded the portion of the invoice that I didn't agree with.

Everyone was friendly. I felt comfortable sitting and waiting on my car. The actual service was the issue. (Transmission)I took my car in because it was jerking in overdrive (very slighly). No check engine lights were on. They make you sign upfront to do diagnostic testing (200.00) the original tech came out and said he didn't think I needed the diagnostic test as he felt the slight bump in overdrive and he was just going to check the fluid. Discovered that my fluid was overfull. Was told that the only way to correct this is drain and refill. (184.00)at this point original tech passed my car to another tech(200.00 for labor) I asked if they were going to replace the transmission filter. Answer was no. That would require them to open the transmission. So it wasn't even offered. The second tech filled the transmission up with fluid took my car down and drove it. Came back and said You need a new transmission. I go on a test ride with this tech. Car was worse than when I brought it in. Office person said maybe it's a relearn on that transmission after fluid replacement. They didn't offer to use their fancy diagnostic tool to do this for me. I had to figure that out on my own. Lesson learned about this entire experience. I told them I was on a fixed income and have been battling cancer. I paid $550.00 for fluid drain and fill. And I had to reset the TCM myself. They took advantage of me. Not saying everyone wasn't polite about doing it. I'm saying that it must be that shops procedure to charge for services not needed. And they got you once you sign for the diagnostic testing before car is even touched. Beware!

If you are not at Spike, you better be evaluate where you are taking your vehicle. Not only do they make time for you when busy but the customer service is excellent. We had so many marketing flyers come but it’s personal when it comes to inspecting your vehicle. Just like a hole in the wall restaurant is the talk of the town, Spike delivers the same. Our family is grateful.
