Ladies please be careful and ALWAYS get a second opinion before approving expensive repairs. I went to the Mavis in Ellenwood, GA for an alignment after replacing BOTH outer tie rod ends on my 2014 Acura MDX. Instead of simply doing the alignment, I was told I needed a battery, front and rear struts, and wiper blades.
What they didn’t realize is they were dealing with a 35-year-old woman that may appear younger, but I’m not clueless about cars. My dad is a certified mechanic, just older now, and I also worked in auto parts sales/commercial, so I know enough to ask questions and verify things for myself.
The battery recommendation immediately raised concerns because my battery is under warranty through AutoZone. I went straight there afterward and had BOTH the battery and alternator tested battery came back GOOD with 100% health and alternator tested good as well.
What really bothered me was no one showed me WHY I supposedly needed front and rear struts. No leaking struts were shown, no explanation, nothing. Just “you need them.” I later had a full suspension and steering inspection done and my vehicle PASSED. The mechanic even checked my struts in front of me and performed a bounce test with no issues found.
My car is now driving smooth, tracking straight, and the popping issue was fixed after replacing my tie rod ends.
Women especially! don’t be afraid to ask questions, request proof, get second opinions, and verify things for yourself before spending hundreds or thousands on repairs. Not every woman who walks into a shop is clueless about vehicles.

This was my first time visiting Mavis Tire, location on Anviblock Ellenwood. Donte, the store manger was very professional and transparent with the diagnosis of my 2016 Rogue. The technician showed me the damaged part from my vehicle and after completing, test drove my car, making sure it drove smoothly and the problem fixed. I appreciate the service and the professionalism of Donte and the technicans at Mavis Tire. I will definitely recommend Mavis Tire to my friends and family.
The Ellenwood Staff at Mavis tire and brakes was absolutely fantastic. They went far beyond making sure that all of my needs was addressed. The sale-associate Shaunya was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and supportive and made sure I had an easy transition for Buying my four tires. I would recommend this location over any other location because I stopped in other locations, but this one was extremely friendly, supportive and patient. With the staff like this, there’s no other place to go. Shaunya In my opinion Is a role model of customer service and that’s what is all about. Taking care of the customer, making sure the customer satisfied. The manager who I don’t have his name also was knowledgeable and supportive. In my opinion. The store is a 10.
On Tuesday, April 07, 2026 I stopped by Midas in Ellenwood, GA to have the air in my tires checked after my check tire pressure light came on. When I initially arrived I was greeted by a friendly yet professional young lady by the name of Shaunya, who turns out was the manager. Shaunya had the warmest smile and the best attitude. Despit the fact that my problem was minor, Shaunya made me feel like a VIP. She quickly addressed my issue by checking and balancing the air in my tires. Afterwards, she promptly informed me that her colleague Chris would take my vehicle for a drive for further evaluation. After all was said and done Chris resolved my issue. Chris was just as friendly and professional as Shaunya. I truly can't say enough about the OUTSTANDING and PROFESSIONAL service afforded to me. I would DEFINITELY recommend Midas in Ellenwood, GA as a great place to do business. Based on my interaction with Shaunya and Chris I can honestly say the staff at Midas (Ellenwood, GA) is EXTRAORDINARY and worthy of praise. I am so grateful for their assistance and their great demeanor the morning of. I would happily frequent them without hesitation if the need should arise again. I went to the Peachtree tree city location to get an alignment. I found it was very out of the ordinary for them to be done with the service in less than 20 minutes. So i took the vehicle up the street to test drive it because they didn't. During my test drive, I noticed my steering was off and had alot of vibration pulling to the left. So I returned back to the hwy 54 location to have them correct the problem and i was told the tech was at lunch and wouldn't be back for another 30 minutes. The receptionist called him to come back and fix the problem, but he refused to leave his lunch break. So she then called the cross town location in ptree city and let them know my situation and they said send him over its only 7 min away. After i arrived there, i was told another vehicle had arrived there and i would have to wait another45 min. I told them I could not wait, that I had to go back home in ellenwood. That's when I found out about this new location in ellenwood. So I asked to speak to the Mgr of the ellenwood location. I told him my dilemma, he heard me out without interrupting....instead he asked me for my keys and told me I was in good hands and took care of my problem. When he returned my keys, he let me know my alignment was WAY OFF. I will recommend this Mavis location to everyone I know.
