- BVBrady VAug 31, 20255.0The prices are low to mid on most stuff. I will ALWAYS try this store first for the great customer service I received. Its always friendly but the 'new' employee went above and beyond by first admitting they didn't know anything about car parts yet but let me come back with her and look thru their bolts together which is way beyond every other auto parts store that will just shrug. They did not have my bolt but I knew they wouldn't before trying. Not easy finding a 1/2"-13 x 2" long hex hydraulic sight glass mounting bolt. :) but thanks for the effort. Customer service is garbage almost everywhere nowadays.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
