- KHKasandra HerffAug 19, 20251.0Update: Marcus, the manager, was kind apologetic after I called to tell him what happened. Don’t go here. I had to make an emergency stop for new wipers while on a road trip. The employee there charged me for the more expensive wipers and installed the cheap ones. Not only were they the wrong wipers but he didn’t install them correctly and they flew off!!!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
