- MJMarquita JacksonNov 13, 20251.0I’ve been a Mister Car Wash customer for years, and until recently, I never had an issue with keeping my membership sticker attached to my vehicle. Due to a sensory disorder, I am unable to tolerate having adhesives on my car that I can control, and this has never been a problem—my sticker was always scanned without being permanently affixed. During my most recent visit, however, Casey, the General Manager, informed me that they needed to attach the sticker to my windshield. I politely explained my sensory disorder and that I have always been accommodated in the past. Instead of working with me, she confiscated my sticker. I then spoke with the regional manager, both of whom confirmed that they would not return my sticker and insisted they had the right to confiscate it if I declined to adhere it. This was extremely upsetting, especially since I had been a loyal customer for years. After reading the terms and conditions, nowhere in it does it state that they can confiscate your sticker. When the sticker is scanned, they can see that it is indeed my vehicle going through the line. I left feeling ignored, disrespected, and as if my concerns under the Americans with Disabilities Act weren’t even considered. I also felt criminalized, as if they were insinuating that I had let others use my sticker. Because the general manager and regional manager refused to return my property, I ultimately decided to cancel my membership. It’s disappointing to see a company show so little flexibility or compassion toward someone with a genuine sensory disability—especially when they previously accommodated it without issue. I hope Mister Car Wash reconsiders its policies and trains its staff on how to better support customers with disabilities.
