  So I came into columbus after traveling from VA, I drug my brakes through Atlanta traffic and when I got off the exit in Columbus my brakes were crying. I pulled up a few min after closing. The friendly Santa clause looking man let me in , he rebooted the computer to inout my vehicle info. They were soo friendly and completely made my day. 😃 I loved this place as Fred's, and have been going to it for over 15years. Glad tire Disounters are trying to keep the great service alive.

  Fred’s Tire Discounters If you are a woman beware. I would strongly advise not doing business with Tire Discounters (formally known as Fred’s tires). This used to be the only place I would use but always would have my Dad take my vehicle. I called to make an appointment to see why my air conditioner was not working. I called a few days prior and was quoted $280. On the day of my appointment the 4th of April, I had made to have my air conditioner checked due to it not cooling. I arrived on the 4th and the man explained that they would only charge me for the Freon that needed to be added. After they took my truck back. They advised me that my hoses and everything was good and the Freon was good but my compressor had went out. I asked them how much that would be. They told me they would not be able to fix it that day even though the appointment was at 9 AM that morning. They quoted $1300 for the compressor and having to charge the system again. So once I went inside the office, I found how they had charged me for draining my lines and charging a system of $400 prior to checking my compressor. After talking they agreed that was not right and they were going to refund my money. After giving the run around for 3 days and the refund was not returned to my card, I sent my Dad up there to handle it. They told him it would be returned by April 11th and if not to come back up there. On April 13th he went back up there and was told by Kim to give it until April 25th, they were either going to refund back to the card or send a check in the mail by April 25th. When I didn’t receive either one my Dad went back up there on April 27th and was told by Kim that they were not going to refund the money. It took them 3 weeks to give me the run around and then refuse to refund my money. I advise you to find somewhere else to do business. Here is a voicemail from Kim saying that I was going to get a refund.

  Bought wipers. Invoice included $6.34 for Shop supplies fee. No shop supplies used. When questioned this fee I was told it was added to all transactions and company would not allow removal. This is fraudulent charges. I will no longer do business with this company.

  In the past this has been the spot to go, certified mecanics, good communication, but they've gone downhill unfortunately. Id use tire discounters for the tire brands you want but not there service, save your money and literally go anywhere else

  My wife and I purchased new tires a few months ago. My wife has a flat tire a few days ago and I tried to change the tire but discount tire had put so much torque on the lug nuts that I twisted the head of the lug wrench trying to remove them. I called and they told me to bring it back and they would fix it. My wife brought the car back and the mechanic was making excuses so my wife left without the lugs being fixed. I have used this location many times in the past but we will never be back there.
