TL;DR: if you want to experience delays or extra costs with your repair, want improperly and sloppily completed repairs, receive poor communications regarding the repair status/process, then THIS is the repair shop for you. If you foolishly want repairs done right the first time AND in a timely manner then I’d go elsewhere. This whole repair process had been a fiasco. My initial estimate indicated the repair would take 8 days and was going cost around $4000. There was delay after delay after delay which prolonged the process out to 14 days. Some of the delays were due to delays in receiving parts. Some of the delayed parts were required as their "highly skilled technicians" broke them, like clips, while either disassembling or reassembling the vehicle. They don't seem to have any of these parts on hand or placed an anticipatory order for any, just in case they break. To top all of this off the repairs weren’t done well and had "corrections" that needed to be done. The bumper cover space panel was still unattached on the passenger side, the front bumper molding didn’t line up with the fenders (too far out on the passenger side and equally too far in on the driver side). I pointed this out in the parking lot when I picked up my truck, and was told it would take a few hours, maybe half a day to fix. The corrections took more than 2 days to complete and it was still misaligned on the passenger side, the driver side was fixed and is aligned properly, and everything else was attached. The reasoning I got for this was “we can only work with what we’re given.” As if the improper alignment was due to receiving a bad part or that the parts were poorly made. Placing blame anywhere but on their “highly trained” technicians. Communications regarding the repair progress/status were sloppy, confusing and conflicting. I’d get texts indicating on the status of the repair or expected date of completion. Then I’d get a phone call (live person) which contradicted the text messages and was told don’t believe the texts, believe what I’m telling you. Turns out, in my case, the texts were right to begin with. The only positives about Joe Hudson’s collision center (the reason for 2 stars instead of 1) is that all of the employees I interacted with were very friendly and professional. Their employees, specifically, Gavin and Kim, were very professional, courteous, friendly and pleasant to interact with every time, despite my obvious frustration and dissatisfaction. I would recommend going to a different repair shop if you value or desire any of the following: 1) a repair done correctly the first time 2) repair completed in the timely manner 3) being provided an accurate initial estimate 4) not experiencing delays or additional costs caused by the technicians breaking parts, either due to a lack of experience or carelessness while assembling or disassembling the vehicle. Go to Joe Hudson’s collision center if: 1) none of the above are important to you 2) you’re only concerned if the staff is friendly 3) time or cost of repair aren’t a concern to you.
