Best place to take your tire issues. Took my car there because my tire had a puncture, they checked it out repaired it, changed it back with the spare. I did not pay anything for all the services..... Am not bragging about them but they're really good.

I went to the Mavis on Schomburg Road this summer for an oil change. After their inspection, they recommended that I replace my brakes, spark plugs, and drive belt—about $1,000+ worth of work. What they didn’t know was that I had already had my brakes and spark plugs replaced shortly before with another company.
To be safe, I took my car to a reputable mechanic for a second opinion. He showed me that my brakes were practically brand new, the spark plugs were fine, and the drive belt did not need to be replaced. While checking the brakes, he also discovered that the front passenger-side tire couldn’t be removed because the lug nut had been cross-threaded.
I contacted Mavis the next morning. They told me they would correct their mistake, and later sent me a text saying: “We have found the issue on the cross threaded lug nut, and we are replacing the lug nut and stud for you! All other tires passed inspection!” I trusted that they actually fixed it.
Fast forward four months—I went to a different shop for an oil change and tire rotation. Once again, the front passenger tire was almost impossible to remove because of a cross-threaded lug nut, the same issue Mavis claimed they had fixed. Only one stud was damaged, exactly like before. The new shop removed the cross-threaded lug nut and showed it to me.
I immediately went back to Mavis. They scheduled me to come in at 8 a.m. the next morning. At first, the manager said they would replace the stud for safety. Thirty minutes later, he came back and said the damage was “repairable,” so there was “no need” to replace the stud—leaving me with a “repaired,” previously damaged stud that I did not cause.
Had Mavis not tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and then lied about fixing damage they caused, I wouldn’t be writing this review. This store was once my go-to for car service, but after this experience, I will never return. Thankfully, I have all documentation from these events - receipts, photos, text messages, etc.
Please be cautious about any services, “needed repairs,” or recommendations from this company—especially this location. They will smile at you and lie straight to your face.
