- TWTiara WilliamsonDec 7, 20251.0Came on Saturday the 6th around 430 but was told they close at 5 instead of 6 (shown on google) and to come back at 10 the next day*. Arrived shortly after 10 on Sunday to be told that I can get my spark plugs etc changed but they recommend I come back tomorrow* so they can do a full diagnostic scan and compression test to see that the actual issue is but they wouldn't be able to do the test today and without the test they dont know if just changing the spark plugs will help. I went to O'Reilly and got the free diagnostic to confirm that I need my ignition coil replaced which had been what i had been trying to tell them all along. Came back and asked them to just change my ignition coil for cylinder 2 showing the veriscan from O'Reilly. It went from "okay let's get you scanned in" to "it'll be over 1000 bc *per policy* we can't just change the one we would have to change them all plus the other codes from the scan" ....you mean the scan that you didn't even perform? Then reiterated I needed a compression test and plenty of other things before I just throw parts at my car. I'm not sure how the policy changes from state to state but this is the first time jiffy lube has told me they HAVE to change all the ignition coils not just the one that's misfiring like I asked and have had done in the past, plus "come back tomorrow" as soon as you open just screams I don't want to work. Can someone show me that policy, I would love to see how it's worded if it actually exists.
