Overall experience of renting with Sixt was excellent. I am a local resident of Atlanta. At first I rented from ACE but they were not renting cars out of Georgia. Sixt was literally to the left of ACE and I went to them. A young energetic men helped me out renting a midsize SUV. The price was reasonable. The car had only 2k miles on it. Though only one thing was missing and it was the windshield vipers liquid. We had a little bad time because of that as we were going through northern Pennsylvania and it was snowing. The windshield was kinda freezing.

I have always preferred Sixt; however, in the past, I stopped renting vehicles from the company due to the manner in which I was treated. Experiences like this one reaffirm my confidence in the brand. Congratulations to Sixt, and special congratulations to Thai for his exemplary service.

The pickup experience at Sixt ATL was actually smooth. The new key process took very little time. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. I rent A LOT and in 2025 I rented cars 256 days due to work so, I feel qualified to leave this review. On average, Sixt gets between 13% to 15% of my spend primarily related to this branch and DFW consistently not executing (someone caught a stray (: ) . The LAX, JFK, FLL, LAS, PHX, SFO and MSP are usually fine and get the majority of my Sixt spend.
Back to the story, the vehicle itself was not in acceptable condition. First, the fuel tank was only about 3/4 full at pickup, which is not what I expect when renting a car. Second, the exterior of the vehicle was not cleaned and it was visibly dirty, which immediately raised concerns about overall inspection standards.
More importantly, once driving, there were serious mechanical and quality issues. At speeds over 40 mph, the car shook significantly, which made the drive uncomfortable and concerning from a safety standpoint. On top of that, the center rearview mirror was coming apart, clearly showing wear or damage that should have been caught before the vehicle was released. Clearly this car was involved in a major collision and I’m just sharing because, Sixt will be real quick to charge you so document the condition if your rent with them.
In short: great pickup process, but the vehicle condition did not match the level of service I’ll usually would expect at this price point. On the other hand, National Rent-A- Car executes flawlessly every time so maybe they should poach from someone over there. I would consider Sixt again because they seemed to have improved so just proceed with awareness.

First and foremost, a word of advice: don't rent from Sixt.
The “pleasure” of renting a mid-to-high-end car will be overshadowed by disastrous customer service, a lack of knowledge and preparation on the part of those who answer the phone, and charges for unimaginable items that arrive days after you thought you had escaped the Sixt nightmare.
The only exception was a girl who really listened, used her brain, and was willing to find a solution. Unfortunately, it was after going through four different “agents”.
And it's not about money is about SERVICE; we wanted a quality car (we paid to upgrade from a BMW X7 to a Cadillac Escalade), we paid for “Peace of Mind” coverage (which turned out to be useless; it should have been called “Keep dreaming” or “Curb your enthusiasm”). And almost a week later you have an email about "New damage discovered"
So, spread the word: don't rent from Sixt.

They gave me a vehicle that was not maintained properly and had safety issues. Most of their vehicles smell like disgusting cigarette smoke. Vehicles are very dirty and you can see the food crumbs and dirt in all the cupholders and crevasses of the interior. I got downgraded so I can be in a car that was in better condition, BUT STILL DIRTY!
I rent from sixt and pay high prices to avoid these types of issues, but this sixt location at ATL airport is the WORST RUN LOCATION IN THE COUNRTY. WHO IS MANAGING THIS PLACE IS MY TOP QUESTION, BECUASE THEY SHOULD BE OBSERVED AS TO HOW WELL THEY HOLD EMPLOYEES ACCOUNTABLE TO THE SIXT STANDARD THAT I'M USED TO AT OTHER SIXT LOCATIONS ELSEWHERE. Once you start getting sloppy like this you are going to start losing customers and this will affect your bottom line!! I CAN DESCRIBE THIS SIXT LOCATION IN ONE WORD: S H A M E F U L !!
