National Car Rental Atlanta Airport is my go-to whenever I visit Atlanta (once a month on average). The staff is always so personable and kind and have me in and out without issues. I especially wanted to write this review now because yesterday I left my VERY expensive YSL purse in my rental car and did not realize it until I was taxiing to takeoff on the runway. I freaked completely out. I was able to have a family member go to National and retrieve my purse with everything inside (cash, ID’s, credit cards) just as I had left it. It cannot be understated how honest someone has to be to turn a purse in. National will forever have my business and I cannot thank the young ladies who helped my family member retrieve my purse. A lot went into getting it to them, so thank you!!!
Rented from National in Atlanta ATL, as I always do, selection was slim so it was a Kia Carnival HEV. Interesting vehicle, did good on mileage, drove it to Charlotte/Concord, then back to ATL, then home to Daytona Beach. Had a slight billing error upon the drop-off, but the Station Manager at Atlanta Airport, Alexis Henderson corrected the issue quickly. The measure of a company is how they react to issues/errors, etc., and take care of their customers. Thank you Alexis Henderson!

Dang. What an amazing place this is. That manager running the show on the night of 2/19/26 (around 11:30pm), deserves all the praises and raises you guys got.
I arrived after a cancellation in Atlanta, a little worried that I couldn’t book anything online. Being an emerald club member, I always loved the fast-pass customer service. Get a car, drive up to the counter and go. So I wanted to give National a shot for a one-way to South Carolina.
She took my ID, punched in some numbers, told me to get any car, put the Toyota Corolla windshield wiper up (to verify that my contract was created), radioed to her team that I was all clear, then sent me to (I believe) a woman named Jordan who had the greatest attitude, then they sent me on my way! This was all after waiting for 20 minutes in Budgets line, where I made a reservation already, and it was confirmed in their system. But the Budget customer service told me I needed to wait at least 3 hours.
What a relief I ran over to National before booking a hotel. You guys truly excel where these other rental places still have customer lines circling the tarmacs. I had such a terrible experience with Budget, but I now know to never stray from National again. And I’m generally renting a car a few times a month for work.

Excellent customer service at the ATL National Car Rental. Friendly, helpful people both at the desk and the gate. I had issues both with retrieving my reservation and with the initial car I selected (check engine light on). The agents brought me another car (selected one with more features -- thank you!) and helped me move my luggage from one car to the other. And then, when I noticed the paperwork did not reflect my reservation price, they got it fixed and communicated with me by email within 24hrs. I would gladly rent from them again! Well done, team!!
Absolutely terrible. I arrived late in the evening to the airport (~10:30 PM) and the car I drove off the lot with had no license tag. I did not realize this until I was at my hotel at which point I called roadside assistance because that was the only way I could speak to a human and they said I would have to drive it back for an exchange WITHOUT THE TAG. Fortunately I did not get pulled over, but had I been that evening, or worse, when I had to drive to Alabama the next day, the car would have been impounded and I'd be calling an Uber to pick me up on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere. Never though I had to look and make sure the car has a tag, but I sure will now.
