  This Valvoline shop is brand-new in Cartersville, and I stopped here to get my oil changed and air filter replaced. The people there are very friendly/courteous/outgoing, and they *seemed* to do a good job with the oil change/air filter replacement. Under normal circumstances I'd have given them 5 stars for a Review, but...(and there's always a "but", right?)...they didn't have my car's cabin air filter in stock; told me to check back. I did. Repeatedly. Even up to this latest oil change this month (December, 2025). Excuses every time I asked, and this last time they told me they wouldn't be getting anything delivered to that shop. Hmmmmmm. This was "strike one", and one less star. Strike Two [and now two less stars] was when I tried to get one of their other services done on my car, the Fuel System Cleaner service (essentially a combination fuel induction service/fuel injection service)...the manager told me that nobody there--including HIMSELF--knew how to do it. HMMMMMMMMM...the excuse given was that the shop was new and everybody had limited experience. I don't understand how there can be a Valvoline shop which offers--and recommends!-- a certain service that they cannot even perform! They recommended I go to the shop either in Acworth or Rome. I went to Jiffy Lube instead, where the guys there had no trouble performing the service. Strike Three [and now three less stars] was when I was at Jiffy Lube, getting the service that Valvoline offered/encouraged but could not do, and the manager there told me that my airbox screws had been stripped/crossthreaded. I mentioned that I'd just had my air filter replaced at Valvoline very recently, and that I'd watched the kid use the power tool to close the airbox after the air filter had been replaced (noting that everything seemed to be okay at the time). The Jiffy Lube manager told me that the kid likely used too much pressure when screwing the airbox lid back down, resulting in the airbox screws being stripped/crossthreaded, leaving the lid loose. The Jiffy Lube manager was kind enough to find and use replacement screws for my airbox, which is now secured. So now Valvoline gets 2 Stars instead of the 5 that I originally intended to give them for a Review, and I will NEVER return here for any service ever again, including an oil change!!!

  This was the first time using Valvoline Instant Oil change, and I will be back. My father has always changed my oil, but he is getting older, and I didn't want him to have to get under the car, etc. The people at this location TOTALLY made my experience positive. I was pleasantly surprised. They were professional, polite, and efficient (like a well-OILED machine - haha!). They gave me options, but weren't pushy. I also used a $25 coupon. I will recommend this service to my friends and family.

  Had the best experience today ! Came in for an oil change before our annual trip up to Ohio for the holiday and everyone was fast, efficient and friendly. I found a coupon online so the price was even better. Will absolutely be back. Dre, Ricky and Sarah felt like friends by the time I left! Thanks for making such a mundane task, a pleasure :)

  Our van’s oil filter was loose after these guys did a recent oil change causing oil to leak. My wife takes it in for them to fix their mistake and they charge her for a full oil change even though we didn’t need it yet. UPDATE: I do have to commend them for promising to call to discuss the issue and then never calling. If that was the goal, FIVE STARS!
