  As someone who’s been deep into the automotive world for decades and maintains a small fleet of vehicles myself, I usually avoid taking my cars anywhere for service. I prefer to wrench on everything except for one thing I can’t do myself…tire mounting on my very rare and expensive wheels. These are 1990s-era performance wheels from a company long out of business, which means a single mistake or scratch could mean losing something truly irreplaceable. Needless to say, it’s always a nerve-wracking ordeal finding someone I can trust for this job. This time, I gave this local Jiffy Lube a shot and I have to say, it was an absolutely outstanding experience thanks entirely to Jarin, the manager. From the moment I walked in with my set of wheels and tires (completely off the vehicle), he treated me and my concerns with complete respect and professionalism. Unlike others who have rolled their eyes at my "handle-with-care" speech, Jarin actually listened to me attentively, was receptive to my requests, and genuinely understood the importance of the task. What really impressed me was Jarin’s open-mindedness and curiosity. When I mentioned lining up the yellow tire dots with the valve stems, a small and overlooked step that aids in balancing the tire and wheel, his reaction wasn’t dismissive. Instead, he was eager to learn something new as I had just learned it from searching online. That attitude alone says a lot about his character and professionalism. Even more impressive, he allowed me to stick close by while he worked on the tire machine. Anyone in the industry knows that letting a customer hover behind you as you work is stressful, distracting, and sometimes downright irritating. Yet Jarin handled it with patience, respect, and complete composure answering all my annoying questions. Frankly, if Jarin can deal with me as a customer, he’s got the kind of temperament, communication skills, and leadership qualities that deserve recognition at the corporate level. He’s the kind of manager who will easily make it to a regional and corporate level while maintaining this same standard of care, customer trust and overall caliber of person I have yet to encounter working a tire machine. I rarely write reviews, and I almost never give full marks, but this was one of those experiences where I left genuinely impressed. Kudos to Jarin and the entire team, you’ve earned a customer for plenty more “tire mounts” in the foreseeable future.

  ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY - $1,250 Damage and They Blamed Me I brought my 2014 Acura RDX to this Jiffy Lube for a routine oil change. They severely overfilled my oil, which caused damage to my alternator, serpentine belt, and battery - confirmed by my independent mechanic who had to repair the damage for $1,250. When I contacted the manager and district manager about this, they refused to accept responsibility. Instead, they blamed ME and claimed it was just my “aging vehicle.” My RDX was running perfectly before their service. Overfilling oil is a well-documented cause of engine damage. The excess oil gets whipped into foam and sprays onto belts and electrical components - exactly what happened here. This wasn’t age or wear and tear - this was directly caused by their mistake during the oil change. The complete lack of accountability from management is appalling. They would rather blame the customer than admit their technician made an error. This is not how a reputable business operates. I have all documentation from my mechanic confirming the overfill and resulting damage. Jiffy Lube’s refusal to make this right shows they don’t stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor - take your vehicle to a dealership or trusted independent mechanic. The few dollars you might save here isn’t worth the risk of expensive damage and zero support when things go wrong.
