- KMKim MockDec 9, 20184.0They are really nice people there and they try to help you out but their prices are a little high the reason I say they're high is because I can go to McMurria Auto Parts and the exact same for like $10-$15 cheaper. The bad thing about McMurria Auto I'm pretty sure is they've only got 3 locations. Arlington GA, Blakely GA, and Colquit, GA and Advance Auto , they're nearly everywhere .

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
