I had previously purchased four tires from this location in April, so I was able to replace the damaged tire at a discounted price, which I appreciated. During the visit, I was informed that two of the lug bolts on my vehicle were not original. I was told that in order to purchase replacement bolts and obtain the key, all 20 lug bolts on all four tires had to be replaced, which resulted in an additional $50 charge. I later learned this was not necessary, as only the two affected bolts could have been replaced, and Mavis does in fact sell lug bolts individually. When I asked what would be done with the removed bolts, I was told they would be thrown away, which I found questionable. After researching further and speaking with others, it became clear that I had been misled regarding the necessity of replacing all bolts, and that was disappointing. I want to be clear that the service itself was good, and the staff was courteous. However, I did not appreciate being given inaccurate information that resulted in unnecessary charges. I later spoke with Robert, who mentioned I should have contacted him directly. I also inquired about windshield wipers and was quoted $50, which I declined. Overall, while the work was completed, I left feeling that I was overcharged based on incorrect guidance, and that experience matters. Transparency is important, and customers should not have to research after the fact to learn what options were actually available.
