  The service people here are AWESOME, but Penske reserved a truck and car carrier 1 week early for me and had NEITHER despite sending me a message 2 days ago saying it was all here. The manager they connected me to (corporate) said he didn't have a car and "how did [I] want to proceed". I WANTED TO PROCEED WITH A LIMO TO TAKE ME TO NOONAN where they said the closest place with the gear I needed. They ultimately offered me a huge discount but I would have to burn 2 more hours getting it and coming back AFTER the uber I burned getting to Penske. Worthless and untrustworthy. Go to U-Haul. The people working the counter here (at Home Depot) are saints.

  I wish Google would let me give 0 stars. The people at Home Depot are fine, but Penske could not make it more clear through their actions that they don't care about their customers. We had an issue during our rental where the store ran out of moving blankets despite a 1 month prior guaranteed reservation. Home Depot claimed that their hands were tied and that only Penske could help. Waited on hold with Penske for a long time. Penske did not offer any solution for our problem, other than to drive 40 minutes out of our way to pick up blankets from their South Fulton warehouse. Customer service rep hung up when I suggested that wasn't a good solution. Penske doesn't even care enough to return my multiple attempts to contact them since our bad experience. Ironically, had a great experience with U-Haul the other day. The truck had more miles but who cares. We dealt with a local business that stood behind the customer experience. I'm sure Penske doesn't care at all, but I will probably never rent from them again. They really don't deserve to be in business with their general approach to both the reservation system and conflict resolution. They really unnecessarily made our move a hassle. Imagine planning to uproot your entire house and wrap your valuables in padded blankets, only to find out ON THE DAY OF "sorry, pretty much don't know what to tell ya!!" But I reserved them over 30 days ago? "Yeah, they literally bring a random number" Seriously, multiple HD employees said that! Penske absolutely doesn't guarantee your guaranteed reservation, and then they will leave you stuck holding the bag at the end stranded. Ultimately the Home Depot manager marked down 3 blankets for us off the shelf. That was a far cry from what we needed. Moves require dependable service providers. LOL the team at Penske will ruin your move and laugh about it!

  So my displeasure with this company is more so in the pricing than the customer service I received. The customer service was great. Everyone knew what was going on and got us out of there fast. When I needed to add a day to my reservation, I was able to do it late at night while I was out to dinner with zero fuss and it took only a few minutes. My complaint is how this company hides the fees involved with renting a truck. When I found the prices, they sounded too good to be true. So I reached out to the company via their online chat for clarity. The online chat only told me about the $150 deposit. Cool. I'm sure that would scare people away but it's not a problem for me. So imagine my surprise when I'm told upon arriving to pick up the truck that there is an ADDITIONAL fee for mileage. It turns out that you have to pay for the miles as well. That ended up being another 65 bucks that I didn't expect to pay before picking up the truck. The cost is not the biggest but it's the frustration of asking for all the details, getting those details, and realizing that there is more to the story. PENSKE! PLEASE STOP DOING THIS! If it wasn't so last minute, we would have gone elsewhere and I think y'all know that. Do better.

  Received 3 extremely pushy sales calls within 16 hours of looking into their truck rental services. 3 calls in just over half a day's time?! After I repeatedly told them I needed more time to do my research and decide - they kept calling. Not a great way to do business...bullying your customers into making a reservation.
