  I just called to ask some question after reserving a truck. I was told about how they have newer and better trucks that their competitors but people complaining on their page about getting old trucks and how to beware of this company. I’m definitely cancelling my reservation plus they are way more expensive.

  I've just been reminded why i never rent anything from home depot and Penske. As usual, one person staffs the rental desk for all home depot and Penske stuff. Took me an hour to get my truck even though there was only 2 people in line when I got here. If you need a truck and rather take 5 minutes instead of an hour, go to uhaul.

  I have had two very good experiences renting Penske trucks for one-way trips. Customer service was very good, and the trucks performed well. I also cut my moving costs by half because Penske, unlike some of its competitors, permit one-way uses of their vehicles. My only suggestion is that more training be provided to drivers such as myself. Not suggesting anything greater than a five minute overview of the controls and some conversation about clearances. Experienced drivers who have used 16 or 26 foot long trucks may not need this, but I found that I did, almost too late. I am preparing to rent a Penske truck for a third time, and recommend their company as renters look at all their options.
