This place is a waste of time!! I’ve came in at 9:40am and left at 2pm, and I’ve been here at this location before. All of a sudden the policy changed and they want unnecessary information and somehow their card machine does not work when other guests can use the same card machine as I did. Also I’ve told them that I have been here before and they couldn’t bring my name up into the system when I seen the same employee help me once before. This place is a waste of time !

The Howell Mill location staff said they had zero cars when people arrived. They checked us in & took credit card payments for THE ENTIRE AMOUNT just to make me wait 4 HOURS to get a vehicle. They wrote name, phone # & car class down on NOTEBOOK PAPER, saying they would call people back. Not only that, with the packed office, I could hear the stories they told customer A vs. customer B – the woman sitting next to me were comparing the lies we were hearing. A more specific example: A white Jeep Wagoneer was wet & outside the front when I pulled up. Just serviced. A man who was VERY angry at hour 2 (we had the same pickup time, 10:00am) demanded a car, an upgrade, or to be driven to another location with vehicles. 1 of the 5 people at the desk told him the Jeep Wagoneer was a RECALL and COULD NOT be driven & they don’t have a vehicle to put him in at all & *could* not drive him to another location. About 20 minutes later, a white woman who’d reserved a pickup truck. They told her they didn’t have her pickup truck. A different staff member told her “We might be able to pick you up or drop you off” when they JUST told the man who had a reservation 2.5 hours before her that they COULD NOT do drop off or pickup. 20 mins later, that white woman drove off in the supposedly recalled white Jeep Wagoneer. Another 20 or so mins later, a pickup truck appeared from the back! Magical! That went to what seemed like the next person in line. By the way, there’s only one driveway, so we can all see what’s coming in & going out. Another member of staff was telling people the credit card swipe was ONLY doing a hold for $1. Not true. At least 3 people including myself piped up that they’d get charged for the entire amount. About 3 hours in, I CONFIRMED with THREE members of staff that I’d get into at least a compact SUV bc I was taking things home from my dad’s basement & needed the space. I was assured I would have at least some type of SUV. Hour 3.5, staff member Will told me to come out for my car – a small Kia sedan. I asked him what is this? I TOLD you all what I needed and I paid for an SUV bc & you’ve already charged me the full amount PLUS $300 deposit. Will told me “Look, you’re not getting into an SUV today. So you need to take what so can give you.” I told Will, “I’m going inside to wait for the SUV I told you I needed. Let me speak to your manager.” Will told me he WAS the manager. Considering THREE PEOPLE had to help him on the computer, I called his bluff. Will is not the manager. I went inside & waited. About 20 minutes later, a Nissan Rogue SUV pulled up for return. So not only is Will not listening to customer needs, he’s being flippant about accommodations for YOUR screw up, lying about being the manager, AND has no idea about his inventory bc he should’ve known an SUV was coming back in. The young lady with the red hair called a couple folks to confirm returns. Apparently Will couldn’t be bothered with inventory knowledge, despite being the “manager.” I finally got a car, 4 hours later. Putting me driving through sundown towns & arriving late to my aunt’s to help with cooking. I arrived at midnight – the stove was long off by then. The car itself? Filthy. Makeup stains inside, dirty windows, smelled like somebody else’s farts. The tire pressure was also low & I had to find a place to put air in all 4 tires bc the car alerted on all 4. This is THE WORST experience I’ve ever had with Enterprise & I’ve been renting cars since I was 19 (I’m 42) and I am FROM St. Louis where you are HQ’d. My father used to be a Diamond member with Enterprise & your constantly declining customer service convinced him & his company to no longer have Enterprise as a preferred car rental company. I WONDER WHY. I’ll stick with Avis & Dollar. At least I know what I’m getting there. I honestly want a full refund bc the STRESS this put on my trip was a nightmare. You have GOT to do better than this. What a disgrace to your company & the cities of St. Louis AND Atlanta. Shame on you.

I reserved a car with Enterprise Rent-A- Car on Saturday (11/22/25) to drive out of town for Thanksgiving on Wednesday (11/26/25). About 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, (at 10:30am) I received a call from the agent at 1572 Howell Mills Rd asking for more time to have the car ready. I was running errands preparing for the trip and I stated I need the car at 3pm so that I can leave. Around 12:15pm, I received another call stating they would not have a car for me!!! I asked to speak to the manager and I was placed on hold for 20 without a response. The manager never called me. I was upset because I reserved the car in advance and I didn't understand the purpose of a confirmation number. The agent told me I was charged as if this made things better??? I found the service absolutely horrendous!!! Do they forecast to know how many cars will be required to fulfill confirmations? Why would they wait until 30 minutes before the pickup time to alert me that I may not have a car? I had planned to drive nearly nine hours to spend the holidays with my family. I tried calling other companies, but with holiday the next day, I didn't find a car. I called a different Enterprise location at 2441 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE and received another confirmation number for pickup within the hour. About five minutes after the call, I received a call from an agent at that location stating they do not have a car. The 800 number and the branch locations obviously don't know the inventory of cars on hand. Be leery of confirmations with Enterprise. They mean NOTHING!!!! Get names of everyone you speak with whom you speak. If you make a reservation in advance with Enterprise, call the pick up spot to confirm the confirmation and document with whom you're speaking. If this sounds like too much work, please consider another company for your rental. This was a classic Seinfeld episode with the rental car agency. They know how to make the reservation, the issue is holding the reservation for the client.
