I found what I needed at Ace, and because the gentleman at Advanced Auto thoroughly explained what I needed, Ace wasn’t able to nickel and dime me. I ended up saving money because of those gentlemen. After I returned with the used battery, they quickly checked me out and carried my battery to the car for me. I really appreciate this service and I just wanted to recognize them. Thank you so much! I’ll be back!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
