I found what I needed at Ace, and because the gentleman at Advanced Auto thoroughly explained what I needed, Ace wasn’t able to nickel and dime me. I ended up saving money because of those gentlemen. After I returned with the used battery, they quickly checked me out and carried my battery to the car for me. I really appreciate this service and I just wanted to recognize them. Thank you so much! Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
